Was attempting to install Monocle 3 onto a iMac.
Got stuck trying to install the leidenbase package.
Found a solution here at https://github.com/cole-trapnell-lab/leidenbase/issues/6
The program needs gfortran so went ahead and installed it from https://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/tools/gfortran-6.1.pkg
Was then able to proceed to the next step in the installation and am now trying out the various Monocle 3 tutorials!
