Just as radio stations change formats, have changed the emphasis of this blog in August 2017.

Culture, travel, sports (Dodger, Bruin and Anteater fan), politics and the life of faith.  Random ramblings (but hopefully thoughtful!) on the passing scene by a Christian 50 40-something molecular biologist American of Asian ancestry, theological "mutt" with traditional inclinations, politically center-right with a dash of libertarian. Will still have some of that type of content but the primary subject matter will be observations about the international game of soccer (or as the rest of the world calls it football) from the perspective of someone who didn't play it growing up and is a relatively new viewer of the sport!
