Dear Rene, I will say a prayer that your friend returns safely. I know he has good intentions and I hope the conditions are ripe for him to carry them out. Did you read anything about the new book, "The Kabul Beauty"? It is an odd story about a woman from Michigan (I believe?) who takes her hair dressing skills and frolicking character to Kabul to teach the local woman how to run a hair salon. Apparently, she has had lots of success and thus the book. I sent the book review to my cousin in Lesetho thinking the idea may also be successful there!? Love, Michele
