Liverpool v West Ham

West Ham is 7th and Liverpool is 8th. A win by Liverpool allows them to leap over West Ham. Tottenham is not likely to lose to West Brom but it is a road game for the Spurs. A loss would allow a victory by Liverpool to bring the Reds to 6th place!

Thus, am sure the Rodgers' braintrust to go with the strongest line-up they can muster.

Starting XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Can, Skrtel, Gerrard, Henderson, Moreno, Lucas, Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana.

UPDATE: Okay, the line-up is out. Sakho is back from injury and surprisingly Gerrard is not even listed as a sub. Maybe he is injured?

Substitutes: Ward, Manquillo, Lovren, Allen, Markovic, Sturridge, Borini.

First off the bench will be Sturridge allowing Coutinho, Sterling, or Lallana a break. If Liverpool needs more offense then maybe Moreno goes out instead. The other consideration is whether Gerrard will need a break. Perhaps, you consider starting Markovic and bring in Gerrard in the second half or visa-versa.

Saturday 7AM PST on Extra Time!

Anfield will be singing as always ... and hopefully, in celebratory mood after full-time.

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm, there’s a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone
