A simplistic way of looking at it:
Social conservatives 25% (Huckabee)
National defense conservatives 39% (Giuliani + McCain)
Economic conservatives 21% (Thompson + Romney)
The ideal GOP candidate pulls in all three legs of this table.
To get the nomination, you got to get at least two legs.
Who can do that?!
